
Our clients are children and young people 11 – 18 years (full care)
and 14 - 18 years (semi-independent)
The children and young people admitted may:
Have been emotionally, sexually or physically abused.
Have sexually, physically or emotionally abused others.
Have behavioural difficulties / disturbance
Have mild mental health disorders: (mood, conduct, attention-deficit hyperactivity, eating, psychotic, obsessive-compulsive and substance, drugs and alcohol abuse)
Have learning difficulties
Have Asperger's Syndrome
Be unaccompanied minors.
Be persistent offenders or substance misusers.
Have suffered severe neglect.
Be victims of trafficking.
Be electronically tagged.
Be awaiting foster placement.
Need medication administered.

Some of the young people we accept have already exhausted other provisions. Adeza provides an environment that helps to stabilise the young people's behaviour, improve self-esteem and help relationship with family, friends and carers
Residential Care
A conducive environment where children and young people are encouraged to develop positively.
A 24hour support
and care system is in operation.
Respite
Young people who need time out from current placement, who need time out from home or who are in the process of being transferred to
foster care or other placements.
Semi-Independent
Provide semi-independent training and support for young people to move on to independence. , using our in-house programme called "Ready Steady Go"
Key Working
We have a supportive key working system, designed to develop children and young people’s strength and provide assessments and monthly progress reports.
Educational Opportunities
On site home tuition designed to support children and young people in mainstream education or other forms of education. Educational visits to museums, art galleries and other places locally and nationally.
Outdoor Activities
Facilitating day trips, residential holidays, cinema, theatre, go-karting, paint balling, bowling, etc. to facilitate young people’s leisure activities, develop social skills and raise their self-esteem and self-confidence.
Supervised Contact
We facilitate supervised contact for children on request from local authorities.
Collaborative Work
We work in partnership with social services, local education authorities, health and other service providers in the public, private and voluntary sectors to offer support for post placement support.
Practice Teaching and Training
Practice teaching and assessment for social work students from higher education institutions including, Havering College of Further Education, Open University, Middlesex University, London Metropolitan University and University of East London.
Adeza also works with colleges to offer presentations on practice issues for students and professionals.

Very high on our agenda is continuous staff development to sustain our high quality service and effectively meet the needs of children and young people who are placed at Adeza.
Our commitment to staff development is reflected in the commendations in our Investors in People report and our annual programme of training activities for the staff team.
